This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you use our website, customer mobile application, Maali mobile application, customer portal, inquiry forms, support features, and related services.

Customer profile and service information

  • Customer name, company details, phone number, email address, billing name, GST or tax details where applicable, and address
  • Site details, site addresses, plant inventory, plant health or status, visit schedules, visit reports, maintenance records, complaints, quotes, contracts, invoices, payments, and service history

Maali app profile and work information

  • Name, phone number, email address, staff code, role, designation, assigned sites, supervisor or admin assignment details, and account status
  • Profile photo, identity or staff documents, emergency contact, address, date of birth, blood group, ID card issue date, and ID card expiry date where maintained by GrowItBro or authorized admins
  • Visit schedules, task assignments, site work status, plant care notes, work reports, uploaded proof photos, report photos, and completion details

Maali attendance, selfie, and location information

  • Check-in and check-out date and time
  • Selfies captured for attendance verification
  • Current GPS location and location accuracy used for attendance verification
  • Foreground location updates while attendance or site work is active, where enabled, to support live work tracking and operational verification

Support and complaint information

  • Complaint title, description, category, priority, related site or plant, status, resolution notes, and any photo URLs or attachments you provide

Notification information

  • Push notification token
  • Platform type

  • Customer ID when available

Device and technical information

Camera access

  • The customer mobile app uses camera permission only to scan GrowItBro site and plant QR codes.
  • The GrowItBro Maali app uses camera permission to capture attendance selfies and work or report proof photos.
  • We do not use the camera for background recording.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Create and verify customer account requests
  • Allow verified customers to access the customer portal
  • Respond to website inquiries and service requests
  • Prepare service recommendations, packages, and quotes
  • Show sites, plants, visits, reports, invoices, payments, quotes, and contracts
  • Let customers raise and track complaints
  • Verify Maali attendance, check-in, check-out, assigned visits, tasks, work reports, and site work completion
  • Support foreground Maali location tracking while attendance or site work is active, where enabled
  • Send account review, service, billing, and support notifications
  • Send Maali work alerts, schedule updates, task updates, attendance updates, and admin notifications
  • Maintain account security and prevent unauthorized access
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve app, website, and service reliability

3. App Permissions

Camera

  • In the customer mobile app, used only for scanning GrowItBro QR codes for plant and site information.
  • In the GrowItBro Maali app, used to capture attendance selfies and work or report proof photos.

Location

  • The GrowItBro Maali app uses location permission to verify attendance, check-in, check-out, and assigned site work.
  • Foreground location updates may be used while attendance or site work is active to support live work tracking and operational verification.
  • We do not use background location tracking unless it is separately enabled, disclosed, and handled according to applicable platform requirements.

Notifications

  • Used to send account review updates, service updates, billing alerts, support updates, and general customer-app notifications.
  • Used to send Maali assigned work alerts, schedule updates, attendance updates, report updates, and admin notifications.
  • You can control notification permissions from your device settings.

Internet

  • Used to connect the website and app with GrowItBro servers.

The customer mobile app does not request device GPS location, contacts, SMS, microphone, calendar, advertising ID, or broad file storage permissions.

4. Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to keep the website working, improve performance, understand page usage, and remember preferences.

If analytics tools are used, they may collect technical information such as pages visited, browser type, device type, approximate region, and interaction data.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only with:

  • GrowItBro employees or admin users who need it to provide customer service
  • Service providers who help us operate the website, app, backend, hosting, notifications, storage, analytics, or customer support
  • Legal, regulatory, or law enforcement authorities when required by law
  • Successors or partners in the event of a business transfer, merger, or restructuring, with appropriate safeguards

6. Third-Party Services

The customer mobile app uses Firebase Cloud Messaging and notification services to deliver push notifications. These services may process device notification tokens and technical delivery information to provide notification functionality.

The GrowItBro Maali app also uses Firebase Cloud Messaging and notification services to deliver assigned work alerts, schedule updates, attendance updates, report updates, and other operational notifications.

Our website or app may also use hosting, storage, analytics, and communication service providers to operate GrowItBro services securely and reliably.

7. Data Storage and Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect customer data.

Authentication tokens and pending registration information are stored securely on the device using secure device storage.

Data sent between the website or app and our servers is intended to be transmitted securely using HTTPS in production.

8. Data Retention

We keep account, service, billing, complaint, support, inquiry, and business records for as long as needed to provide services, meet legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain business records.

For Maali accounts, attendance records, visit schedules, visit reports, task history, location records, and operational records may be retained where required for business operations, security, payroll, audit, dispute resolution, legal obligations, or service record purposes.

We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer required, unless we are legally required to retain it.

9. Account Deletion and Data Deletion

After receiving a valid deletion request, we will delete or anonymize personal data associated with the account unless retention is required for legal, security, fraud prevention, tax, accounting, dispute resolution, or service record purposes.

For Maali deletion requests, after admin review we disable app access and delete or anonymize eligible profile, contact, document, device token, and assignment information. Attendance, visit, report, task, location, and operational records may be retained where required.

You may request deletion of your GrowItBro Customer account, GrowItBro Maali account, and associated personal data by:

  • Using the Delete Account option inside the GrowItBro Customer mobile app under Profile or Settings
  • Visiting /account-deletion on the GrowItBro website
  • Using the Delete account option inside the GrowItBro Maali app under More > Account
  • Visiting /maali/delete-account on the GrowItBro website for Maali account deletion instructions

10. Children's Privacy

GrowItBro services are intended for business and customer use. They are not directed to children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

  • Log out of the app to clear active app access from the device
